Find The Best Dentist For That You Can Trust

Finding the right dentist can seem like an overwhelming task, but it gets a lot easier once you know where to look to find good candidates, what to look for when comparing them and finally what questions to ask to determine which best fits your needs and situation.

You’re reading this over the Internet, which presents some challenges when looking for a Dentist. How do you really know that what’s being said is true? How do you know whom to trust.      

• Begin by looking at his qualifications.  A masters degree is always a good dentist sign.  So look at those letters after his name and if you see MS or MSc you know that he has more knowledge in his field of expertise than average.  It  also shows that he cares enough to have devoted a lot of his time to try and learn as much as he can in his given field.

• The attitude of his staff and team members when you phone the practice to make an enquiry.  Are they friendly and knowledgeable do they make you the centre of their attention ( rather than themselves).

• Do they send you a welcome letter

• There is the famous old adage ‘ Some professionals do the same thing incorrectly for years and call it experience).  Experience is a valuable tool but that doesn’t mean a young dentist  cant be good dental care.

• Do you get that conveyor belt feeling Dentistry is dealing with minute details and rushing it cannot bring consistency.  On the other hand it doesn’t mean a slow dentist is good and a fast one bad.  It’s more whether you feel they are giving you the time that is needed.  Are they good listeners when you first attend so that they get to know your problem?  Do they do a thorough examination.
